Keyboard Shortcuts and Mouse Reference

Waveform Navigation

Input     Action
Space     Start or stop capture
Scroll wheel (up)     Zoom in, centered on mouse position
Scroll wheel (down)     Zoom out, centered on mouse position
I     Zoom in at current mouse position
O     Zoom out at current mouse position
M     Toggle Measure Mode (hover measurements) on or off
Ctrl + scroll wheel     Zoom vertically on an analog / Value / graph row, anchored at the mouse (add Shift for all such rows)
Left-click drag     Pan the waveform left or right (a clearly vertical drag on an analog / Value / graph row pans that row's value axis instead; add Shift for all such rows)
Arrow Right     On a focused text/bus/packet row, jump to the next decoded event; on other rows, nudge the waveform right by a small step
Arrow Left     On a focused text/bus/packet row, jump to the previous decoded event; on other rows, nudge the waveform left by a small step
ZOOM ALL button     Fit entire capture on screen
DISPLAY LIVE DATA button     Jump to end of capture and resume auto-scroll

Command Palette and Command Shortcuts

Most common commands also carry a keyboard shortcut and are listed in the View menu. Press Ctrl+K to open the Command Palette, a search box that fuzzy-matches every menu command, type a few letters and press Enter to run it.

Ctrl+K     Open the Command Palette (fuzzy command search)
Ctrl+Home     Zoom All, fit the entire capture on screen
Ctrl+Shift+X     Zoom to the range between the X1 and X2 cursors
Ctrl+L     Display Live Data, jump to the live edge and resume auto-scroll
Ctrl+Left     Jump to the previous recorded trigger
Ctrl+Right     Jump to the next recorded trigger
Ctrl+T     Center the current trigger in the window
Ctrl+Enter     Apply Changes, reprocess the capture with current settings
Ctrl+M     Add a marker at the mouse position

Location-based commands (Add Marker, Place Cursor, Zoom In/Out) act at wherever the mouse was when you invoked them or opened the palette.

Trigger Navigation (Status Bar)

Button     Action
<<     Previous trigger if one is on screen; otherwise pan left half-screen. Auto-repeats while held.
CENTER TRIGGER     Re-center the most recent trigger horizontally in the window. Disabled when no trigger has fired.
>>     Next trigger if one is on screen; otherwise pan right half-screen. Auto-repeats while held.
APPLY CHANGES     Reprocess the capture with current Custom Decoders, Packet Presenters, and Trigger Search settings. Enabled only when settings have changed and no live capture is running.

Cursor Placement

Input     Action
Double left-click     Place X1 cursor at that position
1 (while hovering over waveform)     Place X1 cursor at current mouse position
Double right-click     Place X2 cursor at that position
2 (while hovering over waveform)     Place X2 cursor at current mouse position
Single left-click     Anchor the decoded-data list at the clicked time (pauses live auto-scroll). The Current Cursor keeps following the mouse
Right-click drag     Select a time range (places X1 and X2 simultaneously); releases a context menu
Escape     Cancel a right-click drag in progress before releasing the mouse

Range Export (Context Menu after Right-Click Drag)

Ctrl+C     Copy AI Snapshot from the selected range
Ctrl+Shift+C     Copy decoded data as CSV from the selected range

File Operations

No File menu items have keyboard shortcut accelerators. All file operations are invoked through the File menu.


List Tab Navigation

Notes Editor

These shortcuts are active when the text cursor is in the Notes editor (Notes tab).

Clicks on the trigger status badge pass through to the waveform below. To center the most recent trigger in the view, use the CENTER TRIGGER button in the status bar.
